Caldwell, John Jackdied June 3, 2017. He was born June 8, 1934 in St. Louis, MO to Ann Weston and John Amos Caldwell. He is predeceased by his parents, son John Nathan Caldwell, sister Kathleen Mislan and brother Robin Caldwell. Jack is survived by his wife, Carole Culpepper Caldwell, son Eugene Weston Caldwell (Carol) Tyler, Connor, Weston, and Madison. Son Philip Culpepper Caldwell (Suzie) Bailey and Harrison. Also survived by Aunt Isabelle Mills, sister-in-law, nephews, great nephews, great nieces, and cousins. Jack was a graduate of Montgomery Blair High School, University of Georgia and General Motors Institute. He was a Staff Sgt. in the Air Force and served in the Korean Conflict. Jack was very active in Boy Scouts, serving as Cub Master and Scout Master. Due to his employment with General Motors, I.T.M.S., Maritz, Spray Tech and Sears, he and Carole lived in GA., FL., S.C., N.C., MD.,and MI., having fond memories of each residence. After retiring from Sears, Jack joined COP in Longwood. He became acquainted with LW city officials, police and fire depts. and truly loved his volunteer job. A memorial service will be held at 11am Saturday, July 8 at Gramkow Funeral Home 500 E. Airport Blvd. Sanford, FL 407-322-3213. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Citizens On Patrol, 410 Wayman St. Longwood, FL. 32750 or to charity of your choice. When departing, Jack always said, "be safe" and "smile".
