Ruth Wieboldt, 96, of Sanford, Florida passed away on Sunday May 17,2020. Born on January 27, 1924 in East Liverpool, Ohio to Harvey Pugh and Lois Emge Pugh. Their family moved to Lake Mary, Florida in 1930 and , in fact, were pioneers in the City of Lake Mary. Ruth graduated from Seminole High School in June of 1941 On July 19, 1941, Ruth married the love of her life, William H. Wieboldt of Sanford. They had two children: son David and daughter Bonnie. In 1953, William and Ruth assumed ownership of Wieboldt's Camera Shop in downtown Sanford which was established by Williams parents in 1928. They continued in this endeavor until December of 1977. In January 1978, Ruth started her career with Duncan Ceramics, Inc as a Seminar Instructor. She conducted classes in Duncan products by traveling through the United States and Canada. Her job title was Duncan Ambassador since she was demonstrating Duncan materials. Ruth worked at this job for 25 years, retiring in 2003. She then enjoyed life in Sanford. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Sanford and she also was a frequent visitor at Holy Cross Episcopal Church. Ruth loved to play the organ, loved to read the Bible and cook. Her favorite thing in life really was music and she often played hymns on her organ. She also saw to it that her two children learned something about music and was their chief supporter in their endeavors.
Ruth is predeceased by her parents Harvey and Lois Pugh, her husband of 64 years, William H. Wieboldt in 2005 and her brother William Pugh in 1969.
Ruth is survived by her son David W. Wieboldt, daughter Bonnie (David) Wieboldt Lewis, grandchildren Cory (Jaime) Dixon, Charles (Kelcey) Taylor and great-grandchildren Alexis and Haile Dixon and Rylee Taylor. The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 23, 2020 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of the Collison-Gramkow Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery, Lake Mary, Florida.
