Aurora A. Wyrum, age 81, of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, passed away on Saturday, November 10, 2018. She was born on July 9, 1937 in Danbury, Connecticut to the late Vincent James Melillo and Antoinette C. Gabriele. Prior to her retirement, Aurora worked in education for 21 years. She spent the first 15 of those years working with special ed students before moving to the administration department at Lake Mary High School where she worked until her retirement six years later. Since 2014, Aurora fought a courageous battle with Metastatic Breast Cancer. Aurora was predeceased by her loving husband Leon Wyrum in 2015, her son Allan E. Berguson in 2000, and her two brothers Vincent J. Melillo and Dominic Melillo. She is survived by her daughters Cynthia A. (Michael) Hudak, Cheryl (Jack) Wiggins, Dawn Berguson, and Tracy Floyd. She is also survived by two sisters; Carmella M. Imbarrato and Marie A. (Louis) Funk, seven grandchildren; Michael A. Hudak, John H. (Heather) Knapp III, Jennifer (Jay) Doubleday, Christopher (Sarah) Knapp, David M. Jones, Austin Leonard, and Savannah Leonard. Aurora is also survived by ten great-grandchildren; Riley Knapp, Adria Knapp, John H. Knapp IV, Lucy K. Doubleday, Christopher A. Knapp, Jr., Jacob S. Knapp, Lexi Jones, Lacey Jones, Landon Jones, and Paislee Leonard Saad. The family will be receiving friends on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 from 6:00 PM ~ 8:00 PM at Gramkow Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on, Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at 11:00 AM at All Souls Catholic Church Historic Chapel. Interment will follow at All Souls Catholic Cemetery.
