Samuel Arnold Tindel, 93, from Sanford, Florida passed away June 5, 2019 in Deland, Florida. He was born on April 19, 1926 in Holopaw, Florida to John Henry and Lorena Myrtle Tindel. Arnold married Margaret (Drew) in Tavares, Florida on August 2, 1946. They were married 71 years at the time of her passing. Arnold was enlisted in the Naval Services where he was a Seaman First Class. He was a World War II Veteran who witnessed the Atomic bomb as well his ship was in position for the surrender of Japan. After returning from the service, Arnold tried his hand at farming. He also helped his father run the Tindel Family Grocery Store in Lake Monroe, Fl. After running the store Arnold moved into sales from RC Cola, Eli Witt then into automotive sales. He began his automotive sales career at Hunts downtown Sanford, then Town and Country Lincoln Mercury which became Longwood Lincoln Mercury. After retiring Arnold and Margaret bought a RV and traveled the US.
Arnold is survived by sons Michael Tindel (Susan), Mitch Tindel (Kim) and daughters Susan Johnson (Tim) and Robin Beal (Bruce). He had 13 grandchildren as well as numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his wife Margaret and son Ronnie Tindel.
Services will be at Gramkow Funeral Home, Sanford Florida on Saturday June 8, 2019 at 12:00 pm. Visitation will be starting at 11:30 am. Gravesite burial will be at Oaklawn Cemetery, Sanford Florida following services.
