Stacie Edith LaCava Harris of Lake Mary, Florida passed away on Friday, April 13, 2018 at her home. The wife of the Rev. Rory Harris, former Rector of Holy Cross Episcopal Church, Sanford, and Rector of the Church of the Incarnation, Oviedo. Stacie Harris was known and beloved by so many in Seminole, Velousia and Orange counties. She was head Legal Administrator over the prestigious Philadelphia law firms on Reed, Smith, Shaw and McClay, and Pepper Hamilton before her marriage to Fr. Rory Harris and worked for the Disney Store in Springfield, PA, and as Manager of Ann Klein and Carol Little stores in Perryville, Maryland. She was a lay professional in four parishes in Havre Dr Grace, MD, Prospect Park, PA, Sanford and Oviedo, FL in ministry with her husband. Stacie Harris was a wonderfully gifted, effervescent personality, crafter person who also was a home party demonstrator for Christmas Around The World, Creative Memories, and Pampered Chef companies.
She is survived by her husband, the Rev. Rory Harris, now a retired Episcopal Priest, her daughter, Glory of Lake Mary, and her three sons: Joel, Jesse and Mark Harris who live in Haddonfield, New Jersey. Her surviving family includes her Mother, Gloria LaCava D'Alfonso of Cape May, New Jersey, and her two brothers Kerry and Alan LaCava of Philadelphia, PA, her father-in-law, renowned classical organist Dr. Tom R. Harris of McCall, ID, and her six precious sisters-in-laws: Teresa Schink, Kimberly Johannsen, Roxanne Nowinski, Michelle Harris, Juli Harris and Linda Leung.
Stacie Harris memorial service will be Saturday, April 21st at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 700 Rinehart Road, Lake Mary at 11:00 a.m. followed by a covered dish luncheon reception coordinated by Lydia Pierce at 407-971-9920. The Rev. Tom Phillips will be the Celebrant, the Rev. Kevin Bartle Preaching, and Deacon Rev. Becky Chapman will assist. As per Stacie's wishes, in lieu of flowers, gift donations may be given to Rory Harris to assist the family in her medical and funeral costs and donations to her hospice service and other designated charities supporting the needy and homeless that she was involved with.
