Donald George Annett age 83, of Osteen, Florida, passed away August 4, 2021. He was born May 4, 1938 in Kewanee, Illinois, the son of the late George and Ernestine (Null) Annett. He is survived by loving wife of 63 years Betty C. Annett, their children Terri L. Roberts, Carrie S. Paris, Donald C. Annett, Mitzi G. Labit, and Bruce W. Annett; grandchildren Jeremy Labit, Dustin Annett, Kyle Labit, Andrew Paris, Amanda Paris, and Brooke Labit. Mr. Annett is also survived by six great grandchildren Lexi Labit, Kobe Labit, Katherine Griffin, Emma Paris Wilson, Logan Paris Wilson, and Weston Labit. He served honorably in the Navy, then worked for Florida Power for 38 years. After retirement he enjoyed woodworking and making pieces for his children. He loved traveling so during their marriage, he and Betty made it to every state in the U.S. They also traveled to Italy, making it to the top of the Leaning Tower of Pisa. They also traveled to Ireland and there he kissed the Blarney Stone. He loved country music and blue grass. Hank Williams, Sr. was his favorite. "I'm so lonesome I could cry" and "I've got a hole in my bucket" were a couple of his favorite tunes.
The family will receive friends on Friday, August 13, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Collison-Gramkow Funeral Home. A Funeral Service with military honors will be held in the chapel of the funeral home at 2:00 PM
