Francie Lynn Wynalda passed away July 3, 2020 a few days short of her 75th birthday at Spring Hills Memory Care Facility in Lake Mary, Florida after a long and valiant battle with dementia. She was born and raised in Greenville, Michigan where many happy summers were spent water skiing at the family cottage at Turk Lake and dancing at the Crystal Lake Palladium. Francie moved with her parents to Daytona Beach, Florida in the late 1950’s. Francie is deeply missed by her family who survive her including her loving sister Gloria Butler Cram, niece Ginger Butler (Tom Hull) San Diego, friend Mary Edmonds and many cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ella and Richard Wynalda. Francie’s life long love of horses led to her establishing the Ibrinshak Arabian Horse Farm in Sanford, producing numerous Arabian & Half-Arabian National Champions. She graduated from Mainland High class of 1963, received a BS from UCF in ’71 and MSM from Rollins College in '75. Francie also earned her Real Estate license in 2001. After a long and successful career, Francie retired from the City of Orlando in 2001 where she served as the Recreation Bureau Chief for Youth Services. As per Francie’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be in San Diego at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at alz.org
